Our Conservation Mission

At Tonal Control, conservation is extremely important to us. Our mission is to raise as much money as possible for critical habitat restoration and conservation for pollinators through music. Founder and songwriter, Matthew Guertin, has created a new EP called Pure Extracted Honey to help raise funds for the cause. All profits from Pure Extracted Honey will be donated to Xerces Society.

Honey Bees

Honey Bees are responsible for pollinating 80 percent of our flowering plants in the United States. Over 130 of these plants are fruits and vegetables. (Farmers.gov) Pollinators are vital to the planet’s survival. Without them our food chain could collapse. We NEED to conserve our natural habitats so these precious pollinators have room to thrive.

Inspiration for Pure Extracted Honey

“My grandfather, Stanley Guertin, had a great love for bees and beekeeping. My father tells of how he handled the bees without any sort of protection because he knew they were gentle. As a nature lover, this led me down the path to want to do more to help our diminishing habitats. An EP seemed like the perfect opportunity to create unique music, honor my grandfather, and give back to nature. The cover art is inspired by his original honey jar label.”
